The account currencies you can pick at Axi differ by account type. We checked, on official information of 30 October 2026, which accounts offer JPY, why Elite does not, and whether the currency can be changed.

Can you change your Axi account currency? Not stated officially

The official account types page and fees page we checked say nothing about changing the account currency or about extra accounts in each currency. Help articles suggest that you can hold several trading accounts.

  1. 01
Decide the account type to open

Choosing Elite means you cannot use JPY. If a JPY account is a must, choose Standard or Premium.

  2. 02
Look at how deposit minimums are written

Some methods are written in yen and others in dollars. Decide the method you will use first.

  3. 03
Check the currency choices on the registration screen

The currencies you can choose are those shown on the account opening screen.

  4. 04
Ask support if you need a change

Because Axi does not state it, ask Axi support whether a change is possible and how.

Open an account once you have decided your Axi currency

  • Decide the account type and account currency before you register
  • Complete ID verification within 28 days of opening
  • Deposit from an account in your own name, at or above the minimum for the method
Trading involves risk

Because of leverage, FX and CFD trading can lose more than you invest. Choosing an account currency does not guarantee trading results.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Does Axi have a JPY account?

Yes. Axi's official account types page lists JPY among the available currencies for Standard and Premium. Elite does not include JPY. Check the currencies you can choose on the registration screen.

Which account currencies can I choose at Axi?

Standard and Premium offer 11 currencies: AUD, CAD, CHF, EUR, GBP, HKD, JPY, NZD, PLN, SGD and USD. Elite offers 4 currencies: USD, EUR, GBP and AUD.

Can I change my Axi account currency later?

The official pages we checked do not say whether the account currency can be changed or how. We cannot state it, so ask Axi support if you are thinking of changing. It is safer to decide the currency you want before you choose.

Should I choose a JPY or a USD account?

Axi does not state which is better. Decide by account type (Elite has no JPY), by how the minimum for your deposit method is shown, and by the currency in which you want to see balance and profit and loss. Fees are based on the account currency, so check the converted amount too.

Is the Elite first deposit of USD 25,000 the same for a EUR account?

The first deposit of USD 25,000 is information supplied by Axi, stated in US dollars. The equivalent for EUR, GBP or AUD accounts is not stated officially. Check the portal display and ask support.
